Relationship tools

For the conversation you keep postponing

A test tells you about a pattern. These are for a specific thing: the argument you had on Tuesday, the expectation neither of you ever said out loud, the apology that keeps coming out as an explanation. 10 of them are working today, and 9 of those cost nothing.

None of these will tell you who was right

That is not a limitation we are apologising for; it is the design. Almost every tool here works by holding two accounts of the same thing next to each other without ranking them, because the useful information is usually in the gap rather than in a verdict. A tool that declared a winner would get used as evidence, and then it would stop being useful to the person who lost.

Where both of you take part, nothing you write is shown to your partner until you have both finished and both agreed to share it. That order is enforced on our servers, not in the page you are looking at, and either of you can stop it at any point.

The couples test is the heart of the site and is free in full, including every category and every perception gap. These tools are extras, not the paywalled half of it.
Where a tool uses AI it says so in its listing. The AI only ever writes interpretation; the comparisons and numbers across this site are produced by our own code, which you can reason about.
No tool here will suggest checking, monitoring or restricting another person, and none of them is safe to use as a lever in a relationship where you are frightened. Support is listed here.

Expectations and fairness

Most recurring arguments are two reasonable people running on assumptions neither of them stated out loud.

Most of these are better after the couples test.

Not because we want you to do the long one first, but because several tools read your existing comparison and have more to say when there is one. The test is free, takes about twenty minutes each, and you answer it separately.

Between Us is not therapy, counselling or a clinical assessment, and no tool here can assess a relationship it cannot see. If you are using one of these to work out whether something that is happening to you is acceptable, please talk to a person — there is a list of places to start here.
